Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (written and verbal)
A thorough understanding and experience of using 3-dimensional highway design software such as Civil3d, and Info-drainage.
Good experience in utilities coordination and working with contractors.
Minimum 8+years working experience in drainage and road design.
Should be able to conduct independent technical checks.
General IT software skills, such as, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ProjectWise.
Technical competence insurface and foul water drainage designand able to independently deliver work and integrate with larger project team with minimal supervision from senior staff.
Experience and a commitment to effective management of Health, Safety and Welfare, Safety by Design.
An excellent understanding of relevant standards (e.g. the DMRB and Local Highway Authority standards).
Experience of working with clients, such as National Highways, Network Rail, and Local Highways Authorities.
Experience in drafting bid proposals, raising an early warning notice, and to ensure delivery within time and cost constraints.
Experience of managing project teams and technical leadership.
