Overview

Maintain and optimize mechanical operations of Ready Mix Concrete facilities in Winnipeg

Key Responsibilities

• breakdown management

Tasks

-Proactively addresses breakdown events with a sense of urgency without compromising safety or product quality requirements. -Purchases and maintains inventories of parts and supplies within corporate guidelines in pursuit of lowest possible cost. -Ensures that each facility is operationally capable of producing concrete at design capacity to meet customer demands. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. -Actively inspects and monitors all mechanical equipment to ensure the majority of tasks performed are preventative rather than breakdown maintenance. -Constantly in pursuit of building and maintaining a “best possible” group of facilities.

What You Bring

-Willingness and ability to pursue and complete additional training as deemed appropriate by the individual and manager. -Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. -Welding and Fabrication Experience (CWB or Provincial Welder) -Fluent verbal and written English language ability -Experience with mentoring and training apprentices
