The Role
Overview
Design and analysis of mine tailings facilities, waste rock dumps, and related infrastructure.

Tasks
-Travel to client sites within Canada and internationally to support project activities and client relationships. -Collaborate effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring timely and successful project execution. -Oversee and lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective collaboration across engineering, design, and construction phases. -Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and project documentation to support client needs and project milestones. -Conduct detailed engineering analysis, design, and reporting for projects involving tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and other mine infrastructure. -Develop accurate and comprehensive engineering and construction cost estimates to support project budgeting and planning. -Manage the preparation of design drawings and specifications, from initial scoping studies through to detailed design and construction phases.

What You Bring
-Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and clients. Spanish skills will be an asset. -Expertise in dam stability analysis, water management, and civil design principles. -Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D. -4-7+ years’ experience working with an engineering consulting firm or similar environment; construction, with a Professional Engineer (PE) certification being a valuable asset. -A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is preferred. -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. -Proven experience in the design of tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and related mine infrastructure. -Basic knowledge of hydraulic modeling software’s, such as, HEC-RAS or IBER.
