The Electrical Project Manager is a critical position with clearly defined responsibilities that ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The successful candidate will play a key role from initial concept and design development through to project delivery, ensuring each project is completed, handed over, and closed out professionally and to the highest standards.
- Contribute and manage against the sequence of works for the project programme.
- Produce onsite dilapidations and completion of validations.
- Ensure that all site records are kept up to date in line with company and legislative requirements.
- Estimating and delivering multiple fast track small works within live environments.
- Issuing purchase orders to supply chains and ensure better buying process are adhered to.
- Lead by example, promote the highest of standards with regards to HSEQ best practice, ensuring compliance with company standards, policies, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements in all instances.
- Generate new opportunities, upsell the business, secure additional works where possible, act on opportunities to reduce cost, add value and maximise profit.
- Carry out site surveys to establish SoW for costing purposes.
- Identify, manage and escalate risks where necessary.
- Liaison with designers, estimating and commercial teams.
- Drive the project programme, ensuring key milestones are maintained.
- Delivering electrical projects to an extremely high standard.
- Ensure all persons working on site have the correct training for the role they are carrying out.
- Produce Health and Safety packs as required.
- Ensure accurate recording of the correct working hours associated to each project worked on.
- Drive Project delivery through correct labour allocation and requirements.
- Chair meetings to drive outcomes, ensuring the production of accurate records of discussions, actions and deadlines.
- Development and submit of RFIs, TQs, VOs and driving close out of items raised.
- Ensure all programmes, plans, method statements and risk assessments are robust, up to date, understood and implemented.
- Ordering materials for projects.
- Spotting potential points of failure and react accordingly.
- Highlighting risks, manage variations, delays and EOT requirements, liaising with internal QS’s to ensure that the business is commercially protected.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports including programme drop lines to project stakeholders.
- Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers and design consultants.
- Completion of testing documentation and other relevant record information and upload to company Dutiful system.

This position requires close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle. These include; internal and external designers, architects, the estimating team, key account leads, commercial teams (both in-house and client-side), subcontractors, manufacturers, specialist suppliers, client representatives, commissioning teams, and high-profile customers.
- RIBA design, delivery, and project commissioning stages.
- Testing and Inspection 2391 Certificate.
- Understand the client's requirement, technical specifications, drawings and project requirement holistically.
- 18th Edition Certificate.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and regulations/guidelines.
- Client facing and with a keen focus on customer care in all instances.
- Mechanical Knowledge (Desirable).
- Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification.
- Co-ordination of work packages, understanding the interaction of trades and the ability to foresee potential issues.
- A Project Management qualification, such as Prince2 (Desirable).
- Proven ability to manage teams and operatives.
- Experience of Microsoft packages, including Projects.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor responsibilities under appointment.
- A UK Driving Licence.
- AM2S Certificate.
- A valid ECS black card.
- Proven track record of estimating and delivering multiple fast track small works within live environments.
