Performs complex design tasks on projects with understanding of multidisciplinary environment by collaborating with team members from other disciplines for necessary inputs.
Working in various procurement strategies such as Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build environments to advance civil design packages.
Adhering to GHD BIM standards and procedures and implementing compliance on project level.
Participating, when required, in advancement of GHD Standard Civil/Transportation Details and BIM Standards including promoting changes, mentor on updates to tools and methods, assisting with training development and lessons learned exercises.

Preparation of civil drawings and details from conception to final design in a 3D modelling environment such as Civil 3D, according to established standards and procedures for a wide variety of sites, including linear utility modelling, site grading and site servicing plan modelling/design, road and rail corridor design and modelling, and transit stations.
Providing support and training to junior and developing Techs on on Civil 3D and project BIM standards and procedures.
Providing input into BIM scope, schedule, budget when required.
Communication with civil leads, designers, and project team members on a regular basis to ensure effective and timely flow of project information to meet scheduled deadlines.
Mentoring and supervising junior and developing Technicians.
Following BIM Execution Plan and BIM project requirements throughout project lifecycle.
Producing consistent, high quality civil deliverables.

Positive attitude, good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with quality control (QA/QC) of models and drawings for standards compliance, discipline coordination.
Extensive experience with 3D model development, completing design, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, annotating and drafting.
Strong communication skills for team-based working environment and for teaching project teams about standard methodologies in BIM/CAD.
Competency/expertise in BIM Collaboration tools e.g. (ProjectWise, BIM 360) (Mandatory).
Proven record of site grading, site servicing, drainage and access road design using the civil 3D software, preparation of all plans, sections, profiles and details drawings (Mandatory).
High proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D is mandatory. Knowledge of Bentley software such as Microstation and OpenRoads as well as other software such as Navisworks, Dynamo, REVIT are also considered assests.
8 to 10 years of civil design and /drafting and modelling experience. (Mandatory)
Technician/Technologist with Civil Engineering Technology diploma with background in Civil Engineering is considered an asset.
Be able to drive design phases and implement design standards on rail and transit and linear infrastructure projects of high complexity.
Remarkable experience of using corridor and pipe network module in civil 3D.
Ability to work in multiple parallel projects and within a team environment.
Superior attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to interact with external entities to interpret and understand BIM/CAD requirements and BIM scope.
Metrolinx and rail corridor modelling grading design and modelling experience is considered an asset.
Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.
