A leading technology and infrastructure services provider is seeking a skilled Security Engineer to join its Enterprise Services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a wide range of electronic security systems. This includes CCTV, Access Control, Intercom systems, and associated IP-based technologies.
Desirable (Enhanced) Skills
The role requires strong technical knowledge of security products, an understanding of how these systems integrate with wider building infrastructure, and practical experience in structured cabling. As this position involves regular interaction with clients, professionalism, clear communication, and high-quality workmanship are essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- High attention to detail when completing documentation.
- Good communication and customer-facing abilities.
- Proven experience in installing and commissioning security systems.
- Valid CSCS or ECS card.
- Strong technical understanding of advanced IP networking (switching, routing, wireless).
- Understanding of IP networking related to security systems.
- Basic electrical knowledge, including voltage and current measurement.
- Proven experience installing and commissioning CCTV systems.
- Strong understanding of IP networking as it relates to security solutions.
- Industry-recognised training/certification in CCTV systems.
- Previous experience in the electronic security sector.
- Experience working to NACOSS NSI Gold standards.
- Knowledge of open and closed protocol security systems.
- Experience with wider intelligent building technologies (e.g., lighting control, HVAC, energy management).
- Experience or qualifications in Access Control system design.
- Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intercom technologies.
- Familiarity with current Access Control and CCTV standards.
- Demonstrable knowledge of structured cabling systems.
- Experience with structured cabling.
- Understanding of integration between security systems and wider building technologies.
- Industry-recognised training/certification in Access Control systems.
- Proven experience installing and commissioning Access Control and Intercom systems.
- Competent IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or qualifications in CCTV system design.
Benefits
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 + Van + Fuel Card
