Senior Battery Manager

• Work on advanced organic materials for coin cells, pouch cells, multi-layer cells, and high-voltage cells
• Perform slurry mixing and electrode coating
• Lead and mentor a small team of junior engineers and scientists by teaching new skills and techniques to aid on the company's goals for mass scaling their production line
• Work collaboratively with the leadership and R&D team
• Conduct validation, root cause analysis, failure analysis, and troubleshooting tests

They are looking for a well experienced senior level engineer who can lead a team, solve problems, and have a deep understanding in electrochemical mechanisms. The ideal candidate will be a pivotal member to the team and their ambitions to mass scale their manufacturing line. The company's 4000sqft facility is where they will lead the characterization and optimization of their material and provide insight on the most cost-effective way to bring their product to scale. This role requires someone to have a strong sense of knowledge in battery development chemistries and conducting rigorous failure analysis tests.

• Ability to work in the United States
• Demonstrate problem-solving ability and resolve battery performance/manufacturing issues and have the ability to adapt to changes and promote new ideas to improve their product
• Proven track record of working closely with high voltage cells, li-ion, silicon based, and solid-state battery chemistry
• Extensive experience in failure analysis, root cause analysis, validation testing, and troubleshooting
• Minimum Master's PhD is highly preferred in materials science, chemical engineering or related/similar degree
• Extensive experience in hands on product development, cathode development, and operations management
• 5 - 10+ years of industrial experience in hands on product development, materials characterization, synthesis, and optimization
