Driving efforts across the organization to validate the effectiveness of business continuity strategies and plans inclusive of related third-party risk mitigation activities.
Educate and advise business partners on the business continuity program processes and requirements to ensure the development of accurate and effective impact analyses and continuity plans.
Assess the need for and implement, if needed, vendor and cloud resilience programs as it pertains to business continuity.
At present, this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. However, the need to influence and energize indirect reports remains a critical element for success within this position.
Collaborate with business partners to establish, maintain, and mature a business continuity program, ensuring that the program aligns with industry standards and meets regulatory and insurance requirements.
Collaborate with business partners to conduct and periodically review business impact analyses (BIA), outlining critical business processes, assets, data flows, functions, services vendors, etc.
Manage the crisis response planning, management, and communication.
Establish realistic risk thresholds and recovery objectives through the business impact analysis in coordination with business partners including Information Technology and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function and the Board of Directors.
Find opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, third-party engagement, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives.
Build, socialize, and enforce policies related to business continuity planning.
Developing business continuity management policies and standards.
Collaborate with business partners to develop business continuity plans based on business impact analyses, ensuring the ability to continue business operations during a disruption.
Partner with IT to catalog, test, and measure Disaster Recovery capabilities to ensure the ability to perform within recovery time and recovery point objectives.
Establishing the framework, requirements, management, training, and governance of business continuity processes and procedures companywide.
Plan and conduct business continuity plan tests with business partners, using results to improve continuity plans and the overall program.

Relevant experience operating within a fast-paced, complex organization that requires interacting with and influencing a wide range of business and technology partners.
Overnight travel required up to 3 times per month.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects as well as working with security professionals, information technology partners, and business associates.
Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, is a self-starter, is detail-oriented, and can work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
7+ years of experience conducting Business Continuity Planning and Business Impact Analysis processes across organizational business lines.
Ability to multi-task and work optimally to meet frequent deadlines.
Adept at process and project facilitation.
Excellent collaborator with the ability to work as part of a team.
