Energy tech co. that designs, builds, services gas, nuclear, hydro, steam & wind power systems globally.
As a lead engineer on the Gas Turbine Engineering Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) Annular Hot Gas Path team, you will provide design engineering support to global supply‑chain partners, ensuring high technical rigor and rapid customer fulfillment while maintaining product quality.
You will have technical ownership of annular fleet turbine components such as blades, nozzles, and heat shields, applying mechanical engineering fundamentals to analyze hardware deviations, qualify second‑source suppliers, lead lean initiatives, and drive redesigns through engineering drawing revisions.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, suppliers, and factories to guarantee hardware quality and fulfillment, and to lead solutions for manufacturing complex gas turbine components and assemblies.
Key responsibilities include providing mechanical design expertise, using analytical tools to solve deviant hardware issues, proposing redesigns to improve manufacturability, acting as the technical focal point for supplier qualifications of special processes, conducting risk‑based design reviews, following standard work, and continuously improving design and manufacturing processes.
Basic qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience) and the ability to apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to gas turbine hardware.
Preferred experience includes designing hot‑gas‑path components for gas turbines, deep knowledge of manufacturing shops and lean methods, project management across global teams, strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency with Ansys, NX, GD&T, and the ability to challenge the status quo.
