The Senior Interior Designer will oversee a team of interior designers, lead project development, and guide projects using WRA’s design process. The ideal candidate is flexible, passionate about diverse design markets, highly organized, self‑prioritizing, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a positive attitude.
Key responsibilities include managing the interior design team, coordinating with project coordinators, managers, and design leads, and aligning design efforts with business objectives. The role also involves understanding client needs, linking them to learning‑space designs, providing staff development opportunities, communicating design strategies to leadership, fostering team building, adapting to change, and traveling regionally for project work and conferences.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in interior design from a CIDA‑accredited program, be a registered interior designer in Texas or Oklahoma, and have 5‑6 years of relevant experience, including at least two years in a leadership role. Advanced skills include a strong sense of form and space, proficiency with Microsoft and Google suites, participation in industry seminars, and the ability to teach, mentor, develop multiple design solutions, and collaborate with vendors to stay current on trends.
