As a Planner you will join a local repairs team, using the in‑house appointments system to schedule work orders, allocate tasks to trade operatives and ensure repairs are completed with minimal average turnaround time.
The role may require occasional travel to other UK offices to support teams in Camden and Dartford, involves handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality, and expects flexibility during operational hours as well as a commitment to equal‑opportunity and non‑discriminatory practices.
- Support scheduling of operative and sub‑contract resources to meet performance targets.
- Operate IT systems effectively, ensure operatives update PDAs and rate codes are entered correctly.
- Monitor and update repair job status daily, including bookings, cancellations, overdue jobs and follow‑on tasks.
- Maintain a professional customer experience in all communications and uphold health and safety standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison between residents and maintenance workers, providing accurate and timely information.
- Collaborate with administrators, operatives, supervisors and subcontractors to deliver an efficient service and high satisfaction.
- Follow policies, procedures and work instructions, and keep company assets in good condition.
- Provide backup coverage for other planners and attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Report to the works scheduler team leader while working closely with Riverside Property Services staff and other stakeholders.
- Assist daily service delivery to maximise contract performance against KPIs and minimise penalties.
- Control costs of man‑hours, equipment, vehicles, stock and tools to reduce waste and avoidable expenditure.
- Obtain sign‑off for expenditures and identify cost‑effective service delivery options.
- Liaise with Riverside Group agents, staff, operatives and sub‑contractors.
- Occasionally oversee an apprentice and work autonomously or within a team.
- Work with vulnerable service users and groups.
- Manage client and service‑user expectations.
- Effectively manage operative diaries and resources.
- Assign correct priority targets to work.
- Travel to other UK locations as needed to support teams in Camden and Dartford.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Work flexibly during operational hours.

- Experience working in a pressurised environment and handling challenging situations.
