The Plant Engineer will support the Omaha, NE district energy facility, reporting to the Operations Engineering Manager. The role leads capital investment and major maintenance projects, improves plant performance, and backs safety, reliability, and sustainability initiatives while also serving as a technical resource for other Cordia sites in North America.

This position combines office‑based engineering work with onsite field support, splitting time between project planning and execution in an industrial plant environment. The hybrid schedule allows flexibility for both onsite and remote tasks.

Lead capital and major maintenance projects from concept through commissioning, managing safety, scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop technical specifications, engineering designs, cost estimates, and support annual budgeting and long‑range capital planning.
Drive engineering standards, design reviews, Management of Change processes, and continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and plant performance.
Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting, CMMS development, root cause analysis, and decarbonization initiatives.
Support business development by reviewing growth projects and participating in customer‑facing technical meetings.

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical engineering, or construction management.
Minimum 3 years of project management, operations, maintenance, or engineering experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
Strong written and verbal communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools; ERP (NetSuite) experience preferred.
Preferred: experience with district energy and CHP systems; PE, PMP, advanced degree, or LEED accreditation.
