Participate in site visits during the design phase to assess site conditions and their impact on cost estimates.
Conduct constructability reviews throughout all phases of design.
Establishing unit pricing using standard estimating principles and cost databases.
Mentor and support junior team members in developing technical and professional skills.
Performing quantity take-offs for estimates.
Review specifications and drawings with an emphasis on constructability and identifying construction risks.
Develop cost estimates for a wide range of project types and applications, incorporating the following tasks as applicable:
Researching construction methodologies and their practical applications.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Timberline cost database, with a focus on dams, levees, and civil works.
Engaging with industry experts and suppliers to obtain quotes and relevant data.
Collaborate with the engineering design team to ensure comprehensive scope coverage in engineers’ estimates.
Provide support to civil, structural, geological, and geotechnical teams, based on project needs and personal interest.

Must be proficient with Primavera and Timberline
Candidates hired without their PE will have the title of Estimator and candidates hired with their PE will have the title of Engineer.

Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or other related field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in producing estimates in a competitive environment and assessing cost risks based on contract terms and conditions relative to a cost estimate
Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures necessary for cost management

Basic knowledge of industry standard software, including: Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, standard CAD platforms, Timberline, Civil 3D

Experience with Lump Sum Design Build estimates. Specifically understands detail level estimates and design packages
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple assignments successfully.
Self-motivated, and ability to work both independently and with dynamic teams.
Knowledge of market pricing and pricing sources in the area of specialization.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills, including ability to efficiently and effectively communicate using virtual platform
