Associate Engineer, GMS/SCADA Operations

Design, maintain and support GMS/SCADA systems for renewable energy projects.
Learn and apply protocols such as DNP3, OPC, and ICCP under the guidance of senior engineers.
Support data quality efforts by validating telemetry points, reporting discrepancies, and maintaining logs.
Solves routine engineering tasks with guidance; focuses on accuracy in documentation and execution
Maintain and organize engineering documentation, diagrams, and compliance checklists
Shadow senior engineers in interfacing with utilities, RTOs, and control center staff
Participate in commissioning tasks, including point-to-point checks, patch tracking, and field-device validation.
Attend training sessions and apply learning toward basic system troubleshooting and design understanding
Collaborates closely with immediate team members; receives direct mentorship and feedback
Assist in the configuration of plant control systems, including signal mapping, alarm logic, and operator display basics.

Preferred, not required Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics Advanced degrees can reduce technical experience requirements (Masters = 2 years credit, Doctorate = 3 years credit). Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) or ability to obtain license/charter within one year.
Basic understanding of plant controls/GMS/EMS concepts, telemetry signals, and control room functions. Learning to apply protocols and tools under close supervision
Ability to work within tight deadlines
Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)
Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
Minimum of 4 years of experience in monarch generation management may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the workday
Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
