Prepare calculations, design sketches and redline drawings.
Work with Designers and CADD Technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes and project specifications and requirements.
Participate on site visits during the design, construction and as-built phases of projects.
Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium and High Voltage).
May also assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR's technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events.
Develop design deliverables including fabrication level steel drawings and foundation construction drawings.
Participate in project reviews as needed.

Prior experience consulting or working for an electric utility is a plus.
Computer skills in Microsoft Office
Local candidates preferred
Expose to substation design is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Master's degree
EIT certification or ability to pass the FE exam within 6 months strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will be titled "Designer" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or related engineering field
Ability to work in a team environment.
Experience with Tedds, Lpile or similar structural design software.
Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
