- Development of protection standards and templates for customer use.
- Responsible for power systems analysis, fault current analysis, protection coordination, protective relay settings and documentation development and review for a variety of equipment and applications.
- Ensure the effective technical support of department needs and requirements.
- Serve as engineering lead on assigned projects.
- Represent the company and its clients on technical matters.
- Performs checking on projects for accuracy and completeness.
- Responsible for effective project planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
- Develop custom logic and control schemes.
- Prepares and/or reviews project scopes and concepts.
- Assist field personnel during testing and commissioning, answering questions and ensuring the test results are acceptable.
- Promote efficient flow of information and ensure complete and accurate record keeping.
- Evaluate equipment specifications and application of new equipment based on customer and industry standards.
- Provide oversight of all aspects of critical electrical infrastructure.

- Experience with ASPEN and AcSELerator Quickset software required.
- Travel as necessary is required for this position.
- Experience with distribution applications such as recloser settings and a strong technical background in developing and interpreting standards, established or not.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of typical transmission, substation and distribution protection applications.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or EIT
- Experience with ETAP, SKM, CYME, CAPE and other manufacturer relay software.
- 5 or more years of electrical engineering experience in relay settings is required.
