- Provide feedback and input into process improvement within the department
- Manage, maintain, and deploy tooling when developing programs
- Recommend improvements to reduce production costs while maintaining high quality standards
- Generate setup sheets
- Program, organize, log, update and maintain new and existing part files to the latest rev. level
- Reduce setup and punching/bending times through process improvements
- Ensure input and output department files are completed in a timely manner
- Use Solid Works file packages to generate CNC code for punches and breaks from solid works models.
- Write programs for new products ensuring compliance with all quality policies, solid models, prints, specifications, regulations and instructions
- Read and interpret prints and solid models

- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written
- Must be able to read, understand and follow written directions
- Must be able to perform basic mathematic computations such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to apply to practical situations. Shop math, geometry and trigonometry
- Must be able to interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner
- Must have at least 5-10 years of sheet metal experience
- Must be able to read, understand and follow department and company policies
- Prefer at least 2-5 years’ experience in programming in Tumpf or related CNC software
- Must have knowledge of punch tooling
- Must be familiar with quality standards (ISO9001)
- Prefer at least 3 years operating a turret punch press
- Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Must have knowledge of brake tooling
- Must be able to communicate positively and effectively with employees in other departments
- Experience with Solid Works PDM is preferred
- Must be able to troubleshoot and advise solutions regarding machining, work holding solutions and speeds and feeds
- Engineering degree a plus
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience in calculating K factors and bend allowances into flat patterns
- Experience with Solid Works is required
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
