  • Assist in developing, recommending and implementing plans for maintenance and quality assurance of the transmission and distribution system as well as the electrical line clearing.
  • Prepare reporting consistently with vegetation management control program responsibilities.
  • Assist with development of annual operating budget related to vegetation management control.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve conflicts related to the right-of-way clearing programs.
  • Document and inventory right-of-way easement encroachments, and collaborate with appropriate departments to mitigate.

  • Assist with aerial observation of ROW for mapping and clearing needs.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling right-of-way maintenance and clearing schedules, related to the vegetation management program and plan.
  • Communicate and monitor consumer interactions regarding vegetation management clearing.
  • Assist with monitoring schedules, performance quality assurance oversight for contract and in-house vegetation management programs. Research industry standards and practices.
  • Assist in ensuring the vegetation management program is accomplished within the established cycle clearing schedule(s).
  • Monitor scheduling and perform reporting functions for contract and in-house electrical line inspection and vegetation management personnel.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling transmission and distribution line ROW clearing inspections.
  • Perform refusal documentation process for supervisor and leadership to review and approve.
  • Provide status updates with right-of-way clearing, monitor member property within the easement and monitor progress.

  • Skills in the use of Microsoft suite.
  • Current knowledge of the electric utility vegetation management control management practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA and industry safety practices and procedures
  • Current knowledge of NESC (National Electric Safety Code) and general electrical utility distribution and transmission maintenance, design and construction practices.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
  • Current knowledge of electric utility transmission and distribution line operation and maintenance, with the focus on vegetation management control and line facility inspection.
  • Ability to multi-task, make competent and experienced-based decisions with minimal direction and supervision, both in the field and in an office environment.
