The Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and growth of the landscaping division. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality services, strong client relationships, and profitability across all accounts. The Division Manager provides leadership to operational teams, drives business development initiatives, and ensures compliance with safety and environmental standards.

  • Monitor division performance metrics, including revenue, margins, and client retention.
  • Lead and mentor Account Managers, Operations Managers, and field leaders.
  • Lead the landscaping division to achieve operational, financial, and client satisfaction goals.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards and resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee daily operations, including landscape maintenance and construction services.
  • Identify opportunities to improve cost control and resource utilization.
  • Oversee safety audits, training, and corrective action plans.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity.
  • Monitor job costing, margins, and expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Identify upselling opportunities such as enhancements, irrigation upgrades, or seasonal services.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and create development plans for team members.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support sales efforts, including proposals, bids, and contract negotiations.
  • Promote environmentally responsible landscaping practices.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.

This position requires both office and fieldwork, including outdoor property visits in varying weather conditions. Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet operational and client needs.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, Profit and Loss Statement management, job costing, and margin improvement.
  • Proven experience running 15mm+ Landscaping companies.
  • Have owned their own Landscaping business (Preferred).
  • Proven experience in running a profit and loss statement.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and sustainable landscaping practices.
  • 7+ years of experience in landscape operations or management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven leadership ability with experience managing multiple teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Landscape Management, Horticulture, or related field (preferred).
