Travel intermittently to project and customer sites for system commissioning.
Work with vendors to specify and procure components.
Review designs for fit, function, and accuracy.
Design and implement control systems for electrically powered equipment, including hoists and vertical belts.
Ensure all designs meet customer requirements and internal standards.
Test and troubleshoot control systems at our on-site UL panel shop.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with a team of engineers and designers.
Design job site power distribution for tunnel boring machines, belt systems, and hoists.
Develop PLC programs and HMI applications.
Commission hoists, vertical belts, and skip loading systems on mine and heavy civil construction sites.

Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, PowerFlex drives, ABB ACS880 drives, and EasyPower software a plus (training available for the right candidate).

Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience developing hoist control programs highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI application development preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering.
