Ensure compliance with relevant Statutory requirements, water industry standards, environmental regulations, and safety guidelines. Identify any deviations from the standards or technical variations.
Serve as the liaison between stakeholders, including the design team, contractors, suppliers, and the client for the project life cycle.
Act as the central figure coordinating the MEICA and Commissioning aspects of the project during the Pre-construction phases.
Ensure alignment between design intent and commissioning goals, driving the project toward successful system handover.
Ensure MEICA sub-contractors Quality Plans & ITPs are completed.
Assist in the reviews of Compliance & Commissioning Plans in conjunction with the Area Commissioning Manager and Project Delivery Teams.
Management of allocated subcontractors/packages
Verify that the design and commissioning processes align with legal and contractual obligations.
Develop Construction and Commissioning sequencing relaying the information to Project Managers and Planners.
Ensure that the project resources and competencies are reviewed ensuring that there is the appropriate level of Permit issuers in place. Any Specialist activities will need to be identified and escalated to the AE’s and SHEQ teams.
Assisting C&DL & Program Manager in the selection and allocation of MEICA resources.
Understand and collate Project and compliance risks.
Ensure MEICA Engineers fulfil their R&R’s and deliver schemes in a safe compliant manner.
Assist O&M Coordinators in review and production of O&M Manuals
Prepare and assist with Method statements and Presentations to board level stakeholders to ensure the “surgical” delivery of Complex SCO’s.
Develop a detailed commissioning strategy and plan
Managing allocated MEICA engineers ensuring work is undertaken safely in accordance with Company Procedures, specifications, Quality, program and good working practices.
Coordinate the integration of civil, mechanical, electrical, and control systems to ensure smooth delivery.
Proactively identify and address challenges in the design or commissioning process, mitigating risks to project timelines and outcomes.
Identify competencies for key project players and understand using GAP analysis potential project specific training requirements.
Reporting of MEICA activities and progress to the relevant C&DLs/Program Managers.
Monitoring and reporting of key milestone program dates
Participate in subcontractor reviews.
Attend site Progress & Commissioning Meetings as required
Management of M&E subcontractors to ensure they meet safety, program, quality and design requirements
Engage with client stakeholders through project lifecycle (PM, FPM, SWOPS)
Carry out new starter MEICA inductions.
