Project Commercial Director

Description

• Review the contract documents and validate the justification for the additional work orders. Manage the development of scopes of work and cost estimates.
• Management of project tasks, DBE compliance, insurance compliance, railroad-supplied service requests, change order and claim administration and close-out administration.
• Acts as primary point of contact with client and has full responsibility for project commercial activities.
• Negotiate design and/or construction change orders, preparing and processing the change order forms in accordance with procedures and guidelines.
• Manage the preparation of additional work order packages working in conjunction with applicable staff and agency procurement personnel.
• Coordinate, negotiate, and process all change orders.
• Analyze schedule and cost impact of all additional work orders. Work together with project teams to analyze schedule impacts of additional work and potential claims.
• Help to prepare and submit claims and claim responses as required.
• Manages commercial activities achieving quality outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.
• Accountable for all activities related to the management of the project budget and schedule. Resolves commercial project issues.
• Identify conditions that could lead to a change orders or claims.
• Review contract documents and advise regarding procedures and policy within. When necessary, advise regarding, and validate the justification for the additional work orders.
