As a Wind Site Technician you will ensure smooth operation of wind turbines by handling maintenance, troubleshooting and system issues. Your work supports clean, reliable energy for local communities, and you can succeed regardless of your background in wind, electrical, mechanical or heavy‑machinery sectors.
- Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
- Follow safety protocols and conduct safety inspections.
- Collaborate to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
- Document work and continuously improve operational processes.
- Accurately time‑code all work activities for tracking efficiency.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Climb stairs and vertical ladders to heights of 60–100 m; supervise confined‑space work.
- Lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 lb.
- Participate successfully in all training courses, including controlled descent exercises.

The role has physical demands that include prolonged standing, walking, climbing ladders up to 100 m, and lifting up to 50 lb. Reasonable accommodations are available to enable team members with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Minimum 6 months wind technician certificate, or 1 year wind turbine experience, or 2 years mechanical/electrical experience.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and an engaged work approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Physically fit, able to work in various conditions and at heights.
- Proficient in English (read, write, follow instructions).
- High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Established safety culture and inclusive, collaborative workplace.
- Use telephones, radios, and related devices (hearing ability).
- Visual acuity including depth perception and color discrimination.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Complete required safety training and certifications (LOTO, Electrical Qualification, Fall Arrest, High‑Angle Rescue, Emergency Descent, Confined Space).
