- Collaborate with client teams to understand integration requirements and provide solutions
- Create and manage API policies for security, throttling, caching, and transformation

- Proficiency in related technologies: JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth, JWT
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Strong understanding of API gateway architecture, proxy development, and lifecycle management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in backend development and API design
- Experience supporting client-facing integrations in production environments
- Knowledge of API design principles and microservice architecture
- Knowledge of message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Background in SaaS product development or enterprise software
- Strong proficiency in backend languages (Python, Java, Go)
- Experience with database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with at least one enterprise API management platform (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, or Axway)
- Knowledge of API monitoring, analytics, and developer portal functionality
