Municipal Engineering Technical Lead

Description

• Actively engage in professional organizations to maintain and/or share technical knowledge.
• Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff.
• Build and maintain respectful working relationships with design team, PMs, and other leaders within the company.
• Manage projects, oversee design and production of plans and specifications and related regulatory submittals, and ensure that the work is produced on schedule, profitably, and in conformance with the quality standards of Ayres and requirements of the contract.
• Work with our team of 40+ employee-owners in Wisconsin and Minnesota to ensure the work is accurate, thorough, and aligns with the established standards while providing helpful feedback.
• Responsible for lead in technical design of municipal water and/or wastewater projects including distribution, pumping, storage, treatment, and process engineering
• Take the lead in and work collaboratively to deliver projects for municipal governments.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in the field of municipal utility design and construction.
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Registered professional engineer (PE) in Wisconsin or Minnesota.
• Ability to independently manage small to medium size projects.
• Experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities, especially in smaller communities.
