You’ll help keep automation projects moving by supporting data‑center startups, conducting on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, leading startup and acceptance testing for warehouse and manufacturing systems, partnering with automation engineers to troubleshoot and validate systems, and providing clear updates to customers and project teams while following rotating travel schedules.
For those who’d rather be on the move than behind a desk, ProAutomated is opening its 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and being part of a team that knows your name. If you can laugh through flight delays, figure things out on the fly, and enjoy solving complex problems, this role could be a perfect fit.
The role requires walking long distances across large facilities, climbing ladders or working at heights, lifting and moving up to 50 lb, and standing, kneeling, or reaching for extended periods in varied environments such as construction sites and outdoor settings.
We offer a transparent four‑week paid training program designed to prepare technically skilled individuals for field work. Success in training requires a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, so candidates without exposure to these areas may not be ready.
The position combines work and travel, letting you experience new cities, tackle unique projects, and earn travel rewards while serving customers across North America. There is no office to report to, and you’ll spend your workdays away from home.
Starting salary ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 depending on location, education, and experience, supplemented by per‑diem meals, mileage reimbursement, utilization and weekend bonuses, and a culture of trust and teamwork.
We invest in your development through paid training, annual merit raises, and a guaranteed 5 % salary increase after six months, supporting you to learn, advance, and build a versatile career—even if you eventually move beyond ProAutomated.
The benefits package includes health, dental, and life insurance, a matching 401(k), short‑ and long‑term disability options, paid vacation, and flexible time off after 18 months, ensuring you’re cared for on and off the job.
If you want a challenging, travel‑filled career where your effort matters, we’d love to meet you. ProAutomated is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and fair employment decisions.
