Description
The Shipping Clerk ensures smooth and accurate shipping operations while upholding Lennox’s safety, health, and environmental programs. This role involves processing incoming orders, verifying accuracy, packing and labeling items, maintaining inventory, coordinating with carriers, and providing status updates to customers and internal teams.
- Implement and adhere to company safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Receive, process, and accurately match incoming orders to packing slips or invoices.
- Pack items securely to prevent transit damage.
- Label packages with correct addresses and tracking numbers.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries, selecting methods based on cost and urgency.
- Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading and manifests.
- Generate and affix electronic shipping labels.
- Communicate shipping details and status updates to customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Inspect outgoing orders for quality compliance.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies and issues promptly.
- Prioritize and organize multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Utilize shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Schedule export, LTL, and inbound shipments.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls to support customer service.
- Produce required shipping and inventory reports.
- Participate in year‑end inventory control audits.
- Lift and carry packages up to 35 lb; stand, walk, bend, and twist for extended periods.
- Operate a forklift safely.
Requirements
Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lb, stand and walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending and twisting in a warehouse environment. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 1‑2 years of shipping experience, forklift operation ability, proficiency with Microsoft 365, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Demonstrate 1‑2 years of shipping or warehouse experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365; bilingual ability is a plus.
