The role is expected to support the sourcing and procurement/supply chain cycle of the project, with particular focus on the development phase.
The Procurement Associate is expected to identify a robust supply chain to deliver the project requirements with the best commercial conditions, lowering risk and ensuring the delivery of all products and services required for the different phases of the projects.
The successful individual will be responsible for ensuring that all contracting and procurement matters are in accordance with legislation, ethical practices, Ocean Winds procurement policies and tender requirements.
- Work with the Supply Chain and Local stakeholders to manage and develop solid relations with the related suppliers across the supply chain.
- Identify and assess the capabilities of potential suppliers to deliver projects needs on time, on budget, with the relevant performance and delivery guarantees.
- Ensures that a record of all contract notices (sent & received) is kept at project level, ensuring that notices are submitted on time and in accordance with the provisions of the contract.
- Comply with OW processes and rules by implementing OW contracting processes in coordination with the different project departments.
- Establish a deep understanding of the market for the services, materials and equipment required for offshore wind projects
- Analyses trends and forecasts within the marketplace with respect to suppliers, price/cost, quality, availability and technological change.
- Implement OW management system in order to monitor and share information.
- Prepare and maintain planning of sourcing activities.
- Support handling/assessment of claims, acting together with the project management, team members, internal lawyers.
- Drive appropriate suppliers’ performance through effective KPIs.
- Expedite selected supplier’s capability to deliver products and services according to requirements.
- Implement the OW procurement Policy, as well as Ethics and compliance rules.
- Lead the contracting management of the assigned contractors. identifying contractual risks, mitigations and/or alternative solutions.
- Liaise and promote dialogue with local authorities and industrial organizations.
- RFP management: Receive, analyse, tabulate bids, and prepare reports. During the tender, other related activities imply the coordination of the internal stakeholders which are part of the negotiation such as legal or technical departments.

Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Other languages will be highly valued.
The role requires proactive contribution to commercial aspects of development, consenting, engineering, construction and maintenance, facilitating competitive processes and commercial management of certain contracts.
4+ years of experience with sourcing of goods and services, preferably related to renewable energy or offshore industries.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Experience in other roles in commercial, legal, contract management, or tendering positions would be considered fulfilling with the below mentioned skills.

- Excellent communication and influencing skills.

- Strong sense of values and ethics, as well as confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- Accountable, Organised and able to prioritise
- Deep understanding of cost drivers, costs breakdown analysis, logistics.
- General knowledge MS Office and advanced knowledge of MS Excel
