- Assigns and reviews the work of subordinate engineers and project support staff.
- Makes important decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex matters.
- Pipe routing and overall facility site layout.
- Hydraulic calculations, line sizing, pipe material grade and wall thickness selection, and Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) calculations
- Performs duties under general direction.
- Develops and recommends improvements in design standards.
- Conducting field investigations and gathering applicable data to support detailed engineering and design for both greenfield sites and the upgrade, modification, and expansion of existing infrastructure.
- Cost estimating.
- Develop detailed designs of pipelines, compressor/pump stations, and other facilities related scope of work.
- Coordination and expediting, as necessary, for all assigned project procurement activities, including the review and approval of all equipment and material engineering specifications and technical data sheets, Request for Quotation (“RFQ”) and Request for Purchase (“RFP”) packages, coordinating responses to vendor clarification requests, evaluating vendor proposals, and overseeing the selection of equipment and materials that meets the project design requirements.
- Coordinate compliance and permitting efforts.
- Process Flow Diagram (PFD) and P&ID Development.
- May be required to seal engineering drawings as the engineer of record.
- Development of project scopes of work, engineering design basis documentation, and construction bid packages.

- Experience with hydraulic modeling software preferred.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to dissect problems and quickly develop solutions.
- Strong natural gas experience preferred.
- Shows proven sound judgment and initiative in the interpretation of policies, and in the planning and execution of important projects.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
- Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards (ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, etc.) and Industry standards and regulations (CFR 192 and CFR 195, NACE, etc.).
- Experience with AutoDesk software or other 3D design platforms preferred.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE).
- Experience with pipe stress modeling software preferred.
- Experience coordinating with client SME’s/stakeholders and offsite team members.
- PE licensure preferred.
- Experience with scheduling software, cost estimating software/spreadsheets preferred.
- Ability to travel, up to 15%.
- A Pre-employment drug screening in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- NCEES record preferred.
- Knowledge in the Midstream Oil & Gas industry.
- B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program with 5-15 years of relevant experience.
- Equipment specification and sizing, including pumps, motors, metering, sampling, storage tanks, relief valves, pipe, valves, and fittings.
