The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician will join the Operations Maintenance team to repair and maintain material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. The role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment, as well as mentoring junior technicians.
Day‑to‑day duties involve promoting a safe work environment, completing preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and other MHE components. The technician will also maintain positive relationships across the facility, track inventory, and may travel up to 20 % of the time.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience repairing material handling equipment, and the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Candidates must be able to lift up to 49 lb, stand and walk for shifts up to 12 hours, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Preferred qualifications include an associate or higher degree in mechanical or electrical fields, experience with automated conveyor systems, blueprint and schematic reading, and knowledge of electrical and electronic principles. Experience with CMMS, OEM safety standards, and robotic or electromechanical maintenance is also valued.
The role demands repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and walking, as well as lifting parts averaging 20 lb and occasionally up to 49 lb. Working conditions may involve small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long periods.
