Work collaboratively with key project stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured in the total cost of ownership solution.
Facilitate the implementation of business specific contracts for services and/or materials.
Logistics coordination including expediting for critical site deliveries.
Provide reporting and analysis on procurement activities, variances, and impacts.
Contract negotiations and preparation, including issuing approval of contract documents, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
Successfully executes elements of the Procurement Management Plan in accordance with approved corporate and or project policies, procedures, plans, strategy, and budgets.
Relationship management with vendors and internal stakeholders on all procurement related matters.
Prepare and oversee the preparation of all bid documents, bid tabulations and selection recommendations. This includes preparing the sourcing strategy, bid packages, supplier agreements and overseeing the development of the scope of work.
Maintain high data integrity when inputting records in the company’s database systems.
Support the procurement team on daily activities as required.

Technical depth of knowledge in the areas of construction related materials and services.
Knowledge of fundamentals of contract law, negotiating business agreements, and laws of requesting tenders, proposals, and quotations.
Post-secondary education or work experience in a related field
Understanding of ERP systems, knowledge of SAP planning system would be an asset.
Ability to build positive working relationships with professionals within industry and external clients.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to distill strategy into a clear, compelling, and concise narrative.
5+ years’ experience within a purchasing department.
Results oriented with the ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines within a fast-paced work environment.
Knowledge of procurement principles, techniques, practices, and ethics.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Attention to detail with strong mathematical skills and ability to analyze complex data and derive well supported linear and non-linear premises.
Understand and adhere to all of Project polices, particularly to the procurement and safety policies.
Ability to be service oriented and effectively work independently and within a team environment.
Solid research skills and commitment to continually learn about new products.
Highly conscientious and disciplined with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
