Attend pre-construction meetings, site progress meetings, and document, prepare and distribute records of meetings; liaise with homeowners, municipalities, conservation authorities, contractors, and clients as required
Interpret construction drawings and specifications and inspect to ensure compliance with the design; advise the contractor and Team Lead immediately of any observed deviation from the approved design drawings or any safety or environmental issues
Inspection of the materials, methods, and construction processes of structures, buildings, mechanical and electrical installations, water and wastewater facilities, sewers, watermains, utilities and roads; obtain and/or verify detailed servicing as-built information
Review and verify contractor’s payment requests and progress claims.
Monitor and document construction site activities and discussions; prepare detailed daily site inspection/progress reports and collect digital photo records of site activity
Coordinate sub-consultant inspectors and reviews, and contractor and municipal staff to carry out maintenance/assumption inspections and repairs
Conduct day-to-day tasks in accordance to legislated and Company-dictated Environmental, Health and Safety mandates and other Company policies
Conduct detailed erosion and sediment control inspections and preparation of reports
Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, RFIs, CCTV inspections
Advise Team Lead of any potential contractor extra work claims or potential cost/time saving observations
