Always adherence to health and safety requirements and help to maintain and improve safety standards
Preparing, issuing and cancelling safety documents
Commissioning HV plant and equipment.
Undertaking troubleshooting and fault-finding on RES controlled plant/equipment.
Achieve and maintain Senior Authorised Person status.
Keeping in close communication with the O&M office
Operation and maintenance of HV Equipment
Management and/or delivery of planned and unplanned maintenance activities on electrical equipment
Carrying out inductions for sub-contractors and deliver Competent Person Training.
Earthing system installation and test.Protection system installation and test.
Acting as Control Engineer
Liaising with external stakeholders such as DNO and asset owner
Producing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
Producing maintenance plans for HV equipment
Carry out basic protection testing on HV related equipment. Complex protection relay testing is desirable.
Managing the interface between system boundaries with site and DNO as required
Maintaining the asset register
Producing final reports
Induct and manage in-house staff and sub-contractors, ensure their safe working, and undertake quality checks on their work.
Preparing switching schedules
Carrying out switching, isolation and earthing duties
Become fully conversant and make sure that all works are undertaken in accordance with the RES Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules and Safety Rule Instructions, this will include but is not limited to:
Occasionally working away from home for training courses or to cover RES controlled sites in other geographical areas where required.

Complex Protection relay testing and commissioning.
HV Safe Systems of Work
Electrical Engineering HND or equivalent industry experience
SAP Experience at11 -33kV for DNO’s and renewables
HV maintenance practices including HSG230
Knowledge of solar and Wind farm assets
Strong approach to safe working practices
SAP Experience (11-33kV)
Ability to coordinate multiple activities whilst ensuring safety and quality are maintained
Able to operate and maintain various types of HV plant/equipment.
Basic HV protection testing
Experience in fault finding on HV plant and equipment.
Excellent communication skills
Detailed knowledge of HV equipment
IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS or equivalent
Reacting to emergencies, site outages and changing circumstances
Ability to identify problems, conduct analysis and develop solutions
Able to use equipment for testing and fault finding on HV plant/equipment
Full UK driving licence
Knowledge of the key legislation underpinning UK high voltage electrical asset operation and maintenance
Good people skills
Holds or previously held SAP authorisations under DNO Safety Rules
Detailed knowledge of UK industry HV electrical safety rules
