The role involves identifying fire and health & safety hazards, assessing risk and supporting compliance across a variety of premises. The assessor will conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments, health and safety inspections and provide clear, practical recommendations to help clients meet statutory duties and improve safety standards.
- Conduct fire risk assessments for commercial, residential and industrial properties.
- Identify fire hazards and evaluate existing safety measures.
- Prepare detailed risk assessment reports with recommendations for mitigation.
- Liaise with clients and property managers to discuss findings and support implementation of safety measures.
- Stay current with fire safety legislation and pursue professional development.

This is a field‑based consultancy position that requires strong technical knowledge, professional judgement and the ability to work independently with a diverse client base across Central and Greater London, with occasional travel elsewhere. A full UK driving licence and an enhanced DBS check are required.
- Hold a Level 3 or 4 fire risk assessment qualification (BAFE required).
- Possess NEBOSH or other health & safety qualification (advantageous).
- Be registered with IFSM, IFPO or IFE (advantageous).
- Demonstrate proven experience in fire and/or health & safety risk assessments.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of fire safety and health & safety legislation.
- Show excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work independently, manage time effectively and be willing to work alone, including remotely.
- Accreditation under the BAFE SP205 scheme.
