Electrical Estimator

Description

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates based on drawings, specifications, and your industry knowledge.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to gather pricing and reconcile estimates.
• Care and Connect by prioritizing safety, wellness, and inclusion in your daily work.
• Lead efforts in collecting historical cost data and developing project metrics to be shared with internal/external teams.
• Develop Each Other by sharing knowledge and mentoring others.
• Analyze existing estimates and change orders, then communicate your findings to internal/external teams.
• Effectively communicate to internal/eternal teams regarding your estimates and collected data.
• Develop estimates from conceptual or incomplete information using your industry knowledge and available historical data.
• Present detailed estimates to internal/external audiences and answer specific questions.
• Build and maintain dashboards and tools to track estimating accuracy and project outcomes.
• Participate in bid reviews, value analysis, and proposal development.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related on-the-job/field experience.
• Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and metric development.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical estimating or related operational construction roles.
• Access to advanced tools and resources for data analysis and tracking.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, estimates, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Accubid, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and Power BI is a plus.
• Familiarity with NEC codes and regional electrical cost.
• Data center estimating and/or operations experience is preferred.
