The Associate Project Manager – Labor Estimator will develop accurate, competitive labor estimates for national electrical and lighting projects. This role blends analytical rigor with project‑management skills to ensure proposals meet customer expectations, align with strategic growth goals, and drive profitability. Collaboration across project management, procurement, and operations is essential to reduce risk, improve accuracy, and accelerate the proposal process.
- Prepare detailed labor estimates for electrical projects with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Validate scope, pricing, and delivery feasibility with Project Management, Procurement, and Operations.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs with competitive proposals aligned to margin and growth objectives.
- Identify and document project risks, integrating mitigation strategies into estimates.
- Maintain at least 99% accuracy on all quotes and proposals.
- Ensure 100% compliance with strategic growth and margin goals.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve estimating tools, templates, and best practices.
- Provide clear pricing documentation and maintain organized records of estimates and revisions.
- Support adoption of technology such as Trimble, Smartsheet, and ERP to boost efficiency.
- Complete pricing and proposal phase within five days.
- Uphold safety, licensing, insurance, and contractual obligations.
- Interpret complex scopes and develop precise estimates.
- Identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.
- Build trust and deliver solutions meeting client needs.
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in all documentation.

Candidates must have at least two years of experience in electrical estimating or related construction/project management, a high school diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred), and proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Trimble Estimating, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, and Epicor Solar Eclipse is a plus. Travel of approximately 10‑20% may be required.
