Assists in training rod technicians to accurately measure with a steel tape, level rod and prism pole and set up a tripod.
Monitors project-related, on-site issues and provides input for production improvement.
Operates all field instruments including levels, Theodolites and GPS equipment.
Performs checking procedure for field information -- peg-check a level, circle closure, and double angles, etc.
Runs all data collection equipment.
Performs rod technician position duties.
Operates a calculator for various survey applications.
Participates in continuing education classes identified as important to improve skills or to keep current on survey issues.

2 years related survey experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
Excellent driving record and valid Florida driver’s license. Must be age 21 to drive a company vehicle.
Performs Basic First Aid when required.
Comprehends, and follows the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) safety manual.
Learns how to use field instruments and maintains instruments in good working order.
Cross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projects.
High school diploma or GED
