Description

Conduct detailed mechanical inspections in line with established quality standards and customer specifications.
Identify, document and report non-conformances, working closely with production to resolve issues.
Ensure all inspection and measuring equipment is correctly calibrated, maintained and used safely.
Programme and operate CMMs using PC-DMIS to deliver efficient, accurate inspection results.
Carry out general manual inspection using a range of standard measuring equipment.
Prepare, maintain and interpret inspection reports, logs and records.

Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Clear and confident communication skills.
Proven experience in a mechanical inspection role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of machining processes and practical 'hands-on' approach.
Strong PC-DMIS programming experience for CMMs (essential).
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
