Operations Scheduler

Description

The Operations Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling all work across the operations organization, aligning activities with available resources to develop and maintain a comprehensive master schedule with committed lead times. This role monitors progress against the master schedule on a daily basis and communicates status updates, risks, and any required changes.

• Produce and maintain a resourced master schedule, highlighting timelines, resources, priorities and present it to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with shop supervision and production planning to gather timelines, machine allocation, and availability for the schedule.
• Track daily progress against the master schedule, updating it based on real‑time data.
• Report progress, issues, concerns, and risks to the VP of Operations and elevate critical issues.
• Conduct “what‑if” scenario analyses with cross‑functional teams to evaluate machine allocation and potential outsourcing needs.

Requirements

• Completed a certified apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant job experience.
• Self‑starter capable of handling multiple projects and prioritizing workload.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
