Understand and manage projects on budget, controls costs, and meets budget and coordinate Change Orders with the Project Manager.
Work with Contractors to ensure the project document requirements, process, schedule, and related contractual obligations are understood by Contractors performing work for Owner.
Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles.
Attend meetings and follow up with other construction representatives and personnel related to scheduling, workforce, material delivery, change orders, RFI, start up, etc.
Maintain and prepare appropriate files, reports, and records for documentation purposes including daily reports, tracking reports, photos, close out paperwork, and other information related to the project.
Monitor and document Contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with plan and specification requirements.
Drive and navigate vehicles or mechanized equipment including but not limited to all-terrain vehicles or watercraft.
May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear.
Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs as well as moving the whole body such as running, maneuvering, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
Perform construction observation and administration on large, complex AE2S projects and anticipate potential problems take action to avoid and mitigate them.
Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and manipulate or move materials.
Ensure appropriate communication between the Owner and Engineer to keep all parties updated on progress and quality of the project.

Ability to travel and work remotely for extended periods of time

Working knowledge of GIS and GPS for use in collecting field data
Regional travel and overnight stay required.
Ability to walk up to 10 miles on uneven terrain.
Degree in construction engineering, construction management, or related field
Strong written and oral communication skills
May require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 75 pounds.
Understand duties and responsibilities under Engineer’s Agreement with the Owner, as well as the Contractor’s Contract with the Owner for each project to ensure obligations and expectations are met.
