The successful candidate will oversee drilling and trench excavation activities for geotechnical and environmental investigations. They will collect and document soil, rock, and groundwater samples while conducting GPS‑based surveys. Preparation of detailed site reports and communication of any technical issues to project leadership are also essential, alongside strict adherence to safety protocols.
Applicants must hold a DEC in environment, civil engineering, mineral technology, or a university degree in geology, coupled with three to five years of relevant experience. Proficiency in soil identification, use of field measuring instruments, and possession of an ASP Construction safety card are required. Fluency in French (both oral and written) is mandatory, with English oral ability considered an asset. Candidates should be in good physical condition, flexible to work various shifts, able to travel frequently—including to remote locations—and possess a valid Quebec driver’s licence.
