Documentation of call-out responses, fault finding and repair work in service reports, logbooks and checklists
Communicate effectively with Management and Colleagues utilizing customers’ CTQs (Critical to Quality needs) in job planning and execution;
Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheets and expense sheets in a thorough, complete and timely basis;
Provide on site technical direction, hands on service and leadership during maintenance and servicing activities at customer owned facilities.
Maintain a strong safety culture and mindset to ensure all executed work reflects GE and customer technical and EHS requirements
Prepare job planning documents that define the scope of work to be performed through engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions;
You will work independently on the implementation of fault analyses and repair of wind turbine generator systems in the UK, including clarification of any client queries
Coordination of external and internal service providers and contractors on site

High degree of quality awareness; excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills combined with the ability to detect and remedy faults, defects, problems
Valid national driver's license
Advanced computer skills, e.g. Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Access;
Experience in leading field service team;
Prepared to travel throughout the UK and Europe on occasion including for training requirements.
Willing to work and fulfil on-call obligations for out of normal working hours if required. (e.g. weekend working)
Previous experience working on GE Turbines
Excellent English speaking, reading and writing skills
Computer literate - knowledge of Microsoft Office package
Appropriately qualified Electrical / Mechanical Fitter or Electrical Technician / Technologist or Electrician / Electrical Fitter - nationally recognized diploma or certificate;
Structured worker with technical analytical abilities
Experience with electrical test equipment and testing procedures;
Fit and able to work at heights
