The PRN Correctional Officer performs routine duties in accordance with established policies, regulations, and procedures to maintain order and provide security, care, and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, meals, recreation, work assignments, and all other phases of activity in a correctional facility. The role may require the use of weapons or force to maintain discipline and order.
Officers must be able to work any shift and may be assigned to various posts such as armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, and others. CoreCivic recognizes military service and may consider it for positions requiring criminal‑justice experience.
