Summary: the TBM Superintendent manages equipment commissioning and decommissioning, oversees utility and services installation, and leads daily supervision and coordination of heavy construction and tunnel equipment.
Foster a teamwork culture, ensuring site teams cooperate and integrate effectively with wider project teams.
Perform technical administration of contracts related to equipment and plant.
Review design drawings, provide input, and verify practical application.
Enforce site safety at all times.
Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
Manage direct reports to ensure competence, accountability, and alignment with project performance measures.
Interpret the intent and requirements of design documentation and information.
Develop and maintain business relationships with workers, manufacturers, dealers, project managers, equipment managers, and subcontractors

A minimum of 8 years of experience as a TBM Superintendent/ Equipment/Plant Manager in tunnels/ underground/heavy civil construction projects or similar.
Trade certification or tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
Effective negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels.
Ability to learn and use different software systems, including E7
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
Strong understanding of local WHS standards and regulations.
