Commercial Manager

The primary purpose of the Commercial Manager role is to provide commercial support and contractual leadership to a growing portfolio of complex and diverse projects across our business streams.

• Proactively identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation;
• Developing strategies to mitigate and resolve delays, claims and disputes;
• Reviewing key risks and negotiating contractual terms with clients and subcontractors;
• Undertaking deep dives into projects to record lessons learnt and identify improvements;
• Supporting tender and project teams on major projects with best practice contract management, commercial strategy, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements;
• Developing and maintaining commercial policies and procedures.

We are looking for an ambitious and hands-on Commercial Manager who is looking to be challenged and step into a growing and successful team.

The successful individual for this role will demonstrate strong leadership, organisational, and time management skills. They will be a strong communicator and have the ability to maintain positive and collaborative working relationships.

• Master’s degree in Construction Law or other equivalent relevant legal studies (if no law degree).
• Strong communication and mitigation skills.
• 5+ years experience in a Contracts Manager or Commercial Manager role in a construction/projects environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Contracts Management or equivalent.
• A professional demeanour and strong relationship-building skills.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
