Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of local roadway/highway design, hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, storm/sanitary sewer design, site grading, preparation of stormwater pollution prevention plans including design of post-construction stormwater management and sediment and erosion controls, utility design, permitting, and coordinating with regulatory agencies and other design disciplines.
Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans, specifications and construction estimates.
Work in a production role on design-build projects to coordinate design packages, track quality control reviews and ensuring the project is on schedule.

Preferred candidates will have EIT and be on track for NY or NJ PE. Candidates hired without their EIT will be titled “Civil/Highway Designer”
Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
Bachelor's degree
MS/BS in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Experience with NYSDOT, NYSTA, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, NJDOT and/or NJTA projects is preferred.
Candidates who reside locally in the metro NY/NJ/CT area are preferred.
Microsoft Office experience required.
