This is a key position overseeing group procurement systems & processes, supply chain management, and corporate and non-regulated business category teams. The ideal candidate should bring extensive relevant experience and strong leadership to contribute to the immediate scope of responsibilities and the company’s growth plans in the field of sustainable energy solutions. The role will report into the Head Procurement and serves as deputy to Head Procurement.

  • Lead and manage the identification and realization of cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities yielding savings and sustainable value for the company and provide leadership across the supply chain.
  • Drive infrastructure modernization including implementation and integration of Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Oversee capacity planning, layout optimization, and vertical space utilization strategies, particularly at key warehouses.
  • Develop purchasing strategies and identify buying trends for materials, provisions and services.
  • Lead and govern end-to-end supply chain operations across SP manned and unmanned warehouses. Ensure alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement of operational KPIs including inventory accuracy, fulfillment rates, and cost efficiency.
  • Design, development and implementation of a new e-Procurement System using SAP ARIBA Saas cloud solution to replace the existing SAP SRM by 2027 in tandem with financial ERP System upgrade to SAP S4 HANA.
  • Custodian of the SP Group Procurement Policy Manual including carrying out reviews of the policy and make required changes from time to time.
  • Establish performance standards and evaluation processes to track progress, results, customer satisfaction, value and cost.
  • Build and develop market intelligence capabilities based on changing market conditions.
  • Work with various corporate stakeholders and business units to lead centralized direct and indirect sourcing and procurement, identifying the product and service delivery to the meet various stakeholders within the supply chain, drives the supply analysis and strategy with identification of supplier, sourcing, contract negotiation for performance management and improvement.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement sourcing strategies, tendering processes, and contract management.
  • 15-20 years’ relevant experience in Procurement and leading a sizeable team of up to 50 to 100. Managed annual procurement spend of at least $500M.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems would be advantageous.
  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Procurement related equivalent. Procurement/SCM professional certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong negotiation skills with strategic mindset, excellent stakeholder relations and problem-solving skills
