The individual will perform machine setup and operate machines as needed, handling machine parts per print for customer orders across various workstations in the ABM Department. This role complies with ISO requirements, safety standards, and good housekeeping.
Key responsibilities include setting up ABM machines with tooling changes and adjustments, operating the machines by loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips, and ensuring conformance with quality specifications. The employee must troubleshoot machines, perform maintenance, track components and tools, and assist with scheduling and training of additional setup personnel.
Success in this role requires a mechanically‑inclined individual who is comfortable with tools and can adapt quickly to fixing both familiar and unfamiliar equipment. Strong mathematical skills are needed to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions for machine adjustments, along with solid reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
