The senior Biologist will expand Dudek’s biological resources practice, emphasizing aquatic resource delineations and permitting, while collaborating with staff throughout California. The position involves both office‑based responsibilities and extensive field work in diverse environments.
- Lead aquatic resource delineations and collect field data in remote, varied terrains.
- Prepare Aquatic Resources Delineation Reports and permit documentation, including CEQA/NEPA evaluations.
- Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Mentor junior staff, create training guides, and represent Dudek in agency meetings and public hearings.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory changes to ensure compliance with the latest requirements.

- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s in biology/ecology or related field, 12+ years aquatic delineation experience, expert knowledge of federal and California water statutes, proficiency with GPS mapping tools, willingness to travel statewide, valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.
- Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree, demonstrated leadership, recognized subject‑matter expertise, knowledge of two‑parameter wetlands, strong customer‑service focus, detail‑oriented judgment.
