Key duties include operating and maintaining all MEP systems, leading planned, corrective and reactive maintenance, issuing permits‑to‑work, and ensuring compliance with method statements and risk assessments. The engineer will coordinate specialist vendor visits, provide backup shift coverage, maintain staffing levels, record work orders and spare usage, and deliver shift handover reports. Participation in weekly and quarterly team meetings, health‑and‑safety activities, and supply‑chain liaison for M&E components is also required. The role demands ownership of plant rooms, risk evaluation and escalation, continuous improvement of safe systems, completion of work orders to SFG20 standards, alarm escalation, and accurate documentation in the Corrigo CMMS.

The Electrical Shift Engineer will join the engineering shift team in a critical facilities/data centre environment. The role requires extensive knowledge of MEP infrastructure and a primary focus on risk management, service quality and technical engineering capabilities, especially on the electrical side.
Candidates must have at least three years of experience in critical environments such as banking headquarters or data centres, and preferably hold an Authorised Person (HV/LV) qualification. A UK Level 3 Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification, the 18th Edition IET wiring and installation certification, and C&G 2391 or BS 7671 accreditation are desirable. Strong communication, leadership of small engineering teams, willingness to undertake specialist training, and attributes such as pro‑activity, integrity and punctuality are essential.
